OTTAWA HELD THE LARGEST EXPRESS ENTRY DRAW OF 2025

On March 21, 2025, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted the largest Express Entry draw of the year, targeting French language proficiency candidates. In round #341, IRCC issued an impressive 7,500 Invitations to Apply (ITAs), reinforcing Canada’s commitment to attracting Francophone immigrants.

The cut-off score for this draw was 379 points, a 31-point drop from the previous draw in this category, making it more accessible for candidates. The tie-breaking rule was set for March 6, 2025, at 02:53:27 UTC.

As of March 16, 2025, there were 236,909 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool. So far this year, Canada has issued 30,683 ITAs across 11 Express Entry draws, with 18,500 of them going to Francophone candidates—a clear indication of the country’s focus on French-speaking skilled workers.
