ONTARIO HELD A NEW DRAW FOR HUMAN CAPITAL PRIORITIES STREAM CANDIDATES

On September 12, 2024, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) held a new draw under the Human Capital Priorities Stream, issuing 1,269 targeted Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to healthcare professionals. These candidates had relevant work experience in 43 National Occupational Classifications (NOCs), highlighting the province’s need for skilled professionals in the healthcare sector.

The invited candidates had Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores ranging from 414 to 444 points, placing them in a competitive position for permanent residency in Canada. This draw is part of Ontario’s ongoing effort to address labor shortages in critical sectors, especially healthcare.

In the previous year, Ontario invited 17,502 candidates through fourteen draws under the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream, showcasing a steady commitment to attracting skilled workers. As of 2024, the province has already issued 37,754 invitations under all OINP streams, with 11,307 of those invitations going to candidates under the Human Capital Priorities Stream.

This continued focus on healthcare professionals indicates the importance of this sector for the province’s growth and stability.
