ONTARIO ISSUED INVITATIONS TO EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS IN TWO NEW OINP DRAWS
On June 11, 2024, the Government of Ontario made significant strides in attracting skilled professionals to the province by issuing invitations to early childhood educators and assistants through two draws under the Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP). This latest effort underscores Ontario's commitment to bolstering its educational sector with qualified international talent.
In this round, the OINP extended invitations to a total of 244 early childhood educators and assistants. Specifically, 120 candidates received invitations under the Employer Job Offer: International Student Stream, while 124 candidates were invited through the OINP’s Foreign Worker stream. The invitations were extended to individuals who met the required criteria in the OINP Expression of Interest (EOI) system, with minimum scores of 65 and 43, respectively, for each stream.
This initiative forms part of Ontario’s broader strategy to attract skilled workers to meet the province’s labor market needs. To date, Ontario has successfully issued invitations to a total of 26,207 candidates across all streams in 2024, highlighting the province’s proactive approach in addressing workforce shortages and fostering economic growth through immigration.
For those interested in pursuing a career in Ontario’s thriving educational sector, this announcement offers a promising opportunity. Early childhood educators and assistants looking to immigrate to Canada and contribute to Ontario's dynamic educational environment are encouraged to explore the OINP pathways.
