NBPNP TEMPORARILY HALTED THE NEW BRUNSWICK SKILLED WORKER STREAM

The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) has announced a temporary pause on the New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream for any Expression of Interest (EOI) submitted after May 17th, 2024. This pause is necessary for the province to manage the high volume of candidates applying through this stream.

The NBPNP has recommended that foreign nationals and employers with job offers in National Occupational Classification (NOC) TEER categories 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 consider the Atlantic Immigration Program as an alternative during this period. This program offers a viable pathway for candidates who meet the criteria but are affected by the pause.

Despite the temporary halt, the NBPNP will continue to issue invitations to all eligible French-speaking candidates. To qualify, these candidates must provide TEF or TCF language test results that meet the NCLC 4 proficiency level in all four language competencies. Additionally, they must have a qualifying job or job offer in a TEER 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 position.

While the NBPNP Skilled Worker Stream is not accepting new EOIs at this moment, it is still open to receiving them. These submissions may lead to an invitation when the program reopens, providing candidates with an opportunity to apply in the future.
