IRCC INVITED THE FIRST IEC CANDIDATES OF 2024

In a significant move towards fostering international collaboration and cultural exchange, Immigration, Refu gees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) recently conducted draws within the International Experience Canada (IEC) pools. The period from January 1 to January 12 saw Canada extending invitations to a total of 11,922 young foreign nationals, inviting them to apply for an IEC open work permit.

As of January 12, 36,060 candidates have registered in the pool and are awaiting the invitation. This round of draws showcased Canada's commitment to diversity and inclusivity, as it reached out to candidates from various countries around the globe.
