CANADA INVITED FRANCOPHONE CANDIDATES VIA EXPRESS ENTRY
On July 18, 2024, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted a new Express Entry draw specifically for candidates with French language proficiency. In round #305, IRCC issued 1,800 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to francophone candidates, demonstrating Canada's ongoing commitment to welcoming French-speaking immigrants. This draw had a cut-off score of 400 points, which is 20 points lower than the previous draw for this category, held on July 8, 2024. The tie-breaking rule for this round was set for March 08, 2024, at 19:51:40 UTC, meaning candidates who met the cut-off score and submitted their profiles before this date and time were considered.
As of July 17, 2024, a total of 215,735 profiles were registered in the Express Entry pool, reflecting the high interest in Canadian immigration. Throughout 2024, Canada has issued 62,615 ITAs through 27 Express Entry draws, including 17,400 invitations specifically for French language proficiency candidates.
This targeted draw underscores Canada's dedication to fostering a diverse and inclusive society by supporting francophone communities across the country.
