OTTAWA HELD A NEW EXPRESS ENTRY DRAW AND INVITED 4,000 CANADIAN EXPERIENCE CLASS CANDIDATES
On September 19, 2024, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted a new Express Entry draw specifically targeting Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates. In this latest round, IRCC issued 4,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residency to individuals in the CEC category, making this a significant opportunity for skilled workers already residing in Canada.
During Express Entry draw #315, the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cut-off score was 509 points, and the tie-breaking rule was set for November 06, 2023, at 07:17:35 UTC. This means that candidates who scored 509 or higher and submitted their profiles before this date were eligible to receive an invitation in this draw.
As of the draw date, September 19, 2024, a total of 207,762 profiles were registered in the Express Entry pool. With this draw, Canada has issued a total of 84,874 invitations through the Express Entry system in 2024, as the country continues to focus on bringing in skilled workers to support its growing economy and meet labour market demands.
