ONTARIO HELD THE FIRST OINP DRAW OF 2025

On January 15, 2025, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) conducted its first immigration draw of the year, targeting candidates under the Economic Mobility Pathways Project (EMPP). This draw, conducted through the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream, issued invitations to four candidates, reflecting Ontario's focused and strategic approach to immigration.

While the minimum score for this draw has not been disclosed, this marks a promising beginning to 2025, as Ontario continues to attract highly skilled individuals who can contribute to its economic growth.

The draw builds on Ontario’s immigration success in 2024, during which the province welcomed nearly 44,000 candidates through various OINP streams. These programs cater to diverse immigration pathways, including skilled trades, employer job offers, and international graduates, reinforcing Ontario’s status as a top destination for newcomers.

Ontario’s participation in the Economic Mobility Pathways Project (EMPP) showcases its commitment to inclusive immigration by providing opportunities to candidates facing displacement or barriers in their home countries. This initiative not only supports global talent but also addresses labor market demands in the province.
