MANITOBA HELD THE FIRST MPNP DRAW OF 2024

On January 11, 2024, Manitoba marked the commencement of a promising year in immigration as it hosted the inaugural draw of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), designated as invitation round #207. This event unfolded across various streams, each contributing to the province's commitment to welcoming skilled individuals and fostering family reunification.

In the highly sought-after Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream, MPNP extended invitations to 166 candidates who demonstrated exceptional merit with a minimum score of 823. Simultaneously, the Close Relative in Manitoba selection witnessed 168 candidates being invited, each securing a minimum score of 607. These endeavors underscore Manitoba's dedication to not only attracting skilled professionals but also prioritizing family ties within the province.

The Skilled Workers Overseas stream witnessed its share of recognition in this draw, with MPNP issuing 31 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to candidates invited under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative. Remarkably, the lowest score in the Skilled Workers Overseas category stood at 639 points, emphasizing the province's commitment to strategic recruitment and tapping into global talent pools.

Furthermore, the International Education Stream played a pivotal role in this round, as Manitoba extended 58 invitations, solidifying its commitment to retaining international graduates and contributing to the province's socio-economic landscape.

In total, Manitoba demonstrated its openness to immigration opportunities by issuing LAAs to 423 candidates during this round, out of which 73 were Express Entry candidates. This inclusivity is in line with the province's broader vision for a diverse and skilled workforce. Notably, in the preceding year, MPNP showcased its robust immigration system by extending invitations to 16,306 candidates, with 4,456 among them receiving invitations through the Express Entry stream.

As Manitoba sets the stage for immigration in 2024, these initiatives underscore the province's dedication to creating a dynamic and inclusive community that thrives on the contributions of talented individuals from around the globe.
