CANADA ANNOUNCED THE NEW RECOGNIZED EMPLOYER PILOT UNDER THE TFWP

In a bid to streamline the process of hiring foreign workers, the Canadian Government has unveiled the Recognized Employer Pilot (REP) program under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP). This initiative, announced on August 8, 2023, aims to provide a more efficient and straightforward route for repeat TFWP employers to engage foreign workers. Simplifying Foreign Worker Recruitment

Under the Recognized Employer Pilot, employers with a proven track record of at least three positive Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIAs) within the same occupation over the past five years will be eligible to participate. The second stage of the program will commence in January 2024, encompassing all other industry sectors beyond Primary Agriculture.
