On February 7, 2025, Alberta released details of its latest draws under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP). The province held three draws in the first week of February, targeting candidates in key streams.

On February 3, the AAIP invited 190 candidates through the Rural Renewal Stream, which focuses on attracting skilled workers to smaller communities. Following this, Alberta held two additional draws under the Dedicated Healthcare Pathway, inviting 70 candidates on February 5 and 48 candidates on February 6.

The update also provided insight into application volumes across different AAIP streams. As of now, there are:

• 2,142 applications under the Alberta Opportunity Stream

• 1,256 applications under the Rural Renewal Stream

• 378 applications under the Tourism and Hospitality Stream

• 17 applications under the Dedicated Healthcare Pathway

• 19 applications under Entrepreneur Streams

• 660 applications under various Express Entry streams, including Family Connection Stream, Dedicated Healthcare Pathway, Priority Sectors, Law Enforcement, and Accelerated Tech Pathways.

So far in 2025, Alberta has invited 308 candidates through the AAIP Express Entry streams, reinforcing its commitment to attracting skilled workers across diverse industries.
