Assuming that you work full time for minimum wage and were paid for a full 40 hours a week, those pay rates would translate into an annual income of between $23,608 and $31,200 Canadian dollars per year. Keep in mind that the cost of living is different from province to province, it doesn’t mean that you will make more in Ontario just because the minimum wage is $14.00, salaries it means the cost of living is higher as well.

How much money you can make will also depend on the kind of industry you are working on and other factors such as your language skills and adaptability. The top-paying sectors right now are in the Mining, Oil and Gas industry, Utilities, as well as the Management of Companies and Enterprises. On the other hand, the lowest-paying jobs tend to be in the Accommodation and Food Services sector, the Retail Trades. Again each person is different and has a different set of skills that can be introduced to employers as a new skill set for a specific industry, it really depends on how you put yourself out there.

WHAT EACH SECTOR IS PAYING YEARLY:

  • Forestry, logging, and support – $61,016
